OUR MISSION
We help adults with newly diagnosed cancer in the DFW area by providing cancer-related educational and financial assistance to ease their journey and give them HOPE.
RECIPIENTS
Diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma in April 2020. Originated in my left tonsil, and spread to the lymph node below my jaw. After having his tonsils removed, he started a 10 week chemo/radiation treatment plan at Texas Oncology Grapevine.
The financial and emotional support of Me Squared allowed him to cover some of the bills which they did not plan for. With the help of his extended family, wife Angela, Daughter Evey (13) and Son Kellen (10), and support from friends he has been able to endure and fighting to hear the words “cancer-free”.
Donna was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia in March 2020 and spent 100 days at MD Anderson in Houston receiving stem cell transplant treatment. Me Squared granted $1000 towards her MD Anderson bill. This is Donna’s second battle with cancer; she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. Donna has been married to her husband for 46 years and has two children, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Corie and her husband and two children lived a quiet life. Until she was diagnosed with cancer. She is a great community servant and proud mom. She was able to get the procedure and treatment to be cleared and now feels she is on the road to recovery. She feels blessed that her disease was caught early.
We were contacted by one of our community partners about Maria and her need for assistance. When she became ill, she was unable to work. She and her husband had just spent their "medical nest egg" on the treatment of another family member with cancer when she was diagnosed. Family is the most important thing in Maria's life. She has such a gentle soul but she is a fighter!
